Treasurer’s Report – Randy Schwandt

•  In order to better manage our current assets, we opened two new accounts at the bank:
  •  A Certificate of Deposit which comes due in eight months, just in time for the start of the major membership and rally expenses.
  • Savings – this allows us to keep some cash in a liquid account, yet earn an admittedly small amount of interest.
• Our bank representative noticed we would save service charges during our busy times by changing to a different type of checking account. We did so, and expect to save maybe $50 a year.

 Membership Report – Chuck Barsness

•  We have 176 paid members.  This is in line with our numbers for the last several years.
•  People who join or renew from now on will be credited with membership through March 2007.

Old Business

• Sturgis 2005 - EH Days at Gregg & Karen’s 333 Club in Beulah went well according to attendees, and the dinner was great. We’d like to build upon it next year.

New Business

• Chuck Barsness reported that Dave and Jennie Hanlon donated some miscellaneous EH-branded office supplies to the Chapter. These include items such as paper with letterheads and envelopes. We didn’t make a decision yet, but initial discussion resulted in two possibilities for these items:
  • The 2006 Membership gift
  • Included in Rally bags for attendees
• Meetings over the winter – we’ll again have the winter meetings in the Cities, locations are yet to be determined.  The October meeting will still be at John’s.
• Elections – Chapter Officers to be elected and to take office next March are Secretary, Membership Chair, and Director.
• An idea came up that we may want to consider attaching Chapter membership to Rally registration This was assigned to further discussion at future meetings.
• Rally 2006 - The membership discussed setting Rally dates for 2006. We’re again facing the choice of having the Rally the weekend after July 4th or to have it just before Sturgis so attendees could attend our Rally then continue on to Sturgis. Because many of us need to plan vacations by January 1, we want to decide by then. Please let us know your thoughts on the subject – we want your feedback. FYI, Sturgis 2006 is August 7-13, and that would put the Rally on August 2-5. We don’t yet know if the LeSueur County Fairgrounds is available on those dates.
