John’s Repair, Le Sueur, MN

Treasurer’s Report – Randy Schwandt
- We received membership dues from one new member. He also purchased a
large membership patch.
- Expenses were normal - November Web hosting, the October meeting meal,
and postage for the above member’s patch and 2005 shirt.
Membership Report – Chuck Barsness
-
We
have 177 paid members. This is higher than the last three years.
-
Reminder
- People who join or renew from now on will be credited with membership
through March 2007.
Old Business
- Elections - Nominations are open for the following offices, voting
will be at the March meeting.
- Treasurer (half-term, one year)
- Membership Chair (two years)
- Treasurer (half-term, one year)
- Treasurer (half-term, one year)
- Treasurer (half-term, one year)
- There needs to be a clear definition of what the office of
Treasurer actually entails. Simply because the outgoing Treasurer did it,
doesn’t mean the new one will.
- This definition needs to be set before the election.
- We decided that the merchandising activities (take orders & money,
send out the product) will be handled by the person holding the
Assistant Director position, currently Waz. We’ll start working on
getting available merchandise advertised on our website.
Rally 2006
- The 2006 Rally will be July 5, 6, 7, 8 at the LeSueur County Fairgrounds,
LeCenter, MN (same place as last year).
- We’ll get a new, updated list of hotels in the area compiled and we’ll try
to get this list out to people earlier so attendees can make arrangements.
- The “social time” listed on the Rally schedule gave no direction to
attendees regarding where others would be. We will set up default gathering
locations for these “social times”.
- It was suggested that we get feedback from Rally attendees via a comment
card. We’ll implement it this Rally.
- There was discussion regarding Rally activities. We need something for
Thursday after the ride arrives from Albert Lea, possibly a get-together at
Whiskey River in St. Peter.
- If there is anyone interested in being a Rally Chair to coordinate
things, let an officer know. We’ll start putting together an agenda and
assigning tasks as needed.
- We should advertise the Rally (and website/club) in a magazine like
Motorcycle Consumer News, Full Throttle, US Rider. They will usually note
events like our Rally for free. Chuck will let Motorcycle Consumer News
know.
Next Meeting
- There will be no December meeting, although
some members may get together unofficially. This unofficial get together
will be unofficially posted on the Chapter website, www.ehridersclub.com.
- The next meeting is January 15, 1:00 PM, location to be determined.
