Waz started the meeting promptly at 1:00 PM.

Treasurer’s Report – Phil Ward

• Phil Ward reported member dues as income and that expenses for the Auto License Plate Frames are paid in full.

 Membership Report – John Jones

• 2007 Membership Drive is on. John Jones - 301 N Main St, Le Sueur MN 56058-4361 is our membership chairman (email). Dues are $20 again this year and you can renew on on our website or send a check. Membership was at 82 paid. There are still several that haven’t renewed their membership for 2007.

Rally 2007

• The 2007 E-H Super X Rally will be held from August 1st thru August 4th which is the week just before the Sturgis Rally. There was general discussion about activities.
• August 1st, Wednesday activities start at Albert Lea. Brian has blocked some rooms at the Ramada Albert Lea, 2306 East Main Street, 507-373-6471 for that night. Please contact them direct and mention the Pioneer Chapter to get the $52 room rate, $58.20 with tax.
• Rooms have also have been blocked at the Le Sueur Downtown Motel, 507-665-6246, 510 North Main St. - arrival August 2nd with departure August 5th. So, contact them as soon as possible if you want to make your reservations there. The cost will be $42.60 for one queen bed and $51.12 for two queen beds. These prices include the tax.
• T-shirt ideas were discussed “Ride The American Dream” winning out. Tim Leary and Mike Hamann will work on the design. Mike will also work on stickers and can coolers. It was decided that we will provide the same 5 meals as last year. We already have the Rally Bar Pins for this year.
•  The Ride from Le Sueur to Sturgis was also discussed. An 8:00 AM departure is planned from John’s Repair in Le Sueur on August 5th. We will be staying in Pierre, SD that evening at the Super 8. You can contact them direct at 605-224-1617. We will arrive at Pierre on the 5th and depart the morning of the 6th of August. Note that no rooms have been blocked there. There will be a detailed ride schedule developed and handed out to all who join the ride. You must make your own reservations for accommodations at Sturgis.

Old Business

• Buck Bailey has the Pioneer Chapter owned Bike Tools These tools are available for use by any of our members. Just contact him at bailey@integra.net or 952-440-9989.

New Business

• Stillwater, MN – Be Aware that Stillwater is enforcing noise laws and will be checking loud pipes for baffles. The fine is over $150 for non-compliance.

• Election of Officers - We had election of officers and Dale (Doc) Jones was elected Assistant Club Director and Phil Ward was elected Treasurer. These are both two-year terms.

• Bylaw Changes - Bylaw changes/updates were made and now read as follows effective 15Apr2007:

  Article II – Board of Directors – 2.04 - Term of Office. Each director shall serve for a term of two (2) years and until a successor has been elected and is qualified or until removed by the members. The terms of the directors holding the offices of Club Director and Assistant Club Director shall be staggered from each other, as shall the directors holding the off ices Secretary, Treasurer, and Membership Chair. Club Director, Secretary, and Membership Chair will be elected together and Assistant Director and Treasurer elected together.

  Article III – Officers – 3.08 – Sergeant at Arms. (Just the number of the Article was corrected)

  Article III – Officers – 3.09 – Assistant Officers. (Just the number of the Article was corrected)

  Article III – Officers – 3.10 - Election and Terms of Office. The members shall, at a regular or special meeting of the membership in March, biennially in each: (i) even numbered year, elect a Club Director, Secretary, and Membership Chair; (ii) odd numbered years, elect an Assistant Club Director and Treasurer; (all herein “elected officers”). The newly elected officers will take off April 1 following the election. Each elected officer shall hold office for two (2) years and until his or her successor is duly elected and shall have qualified, or until his or her earlier death, disqualification, resignation or removal.

  Article III – Officers – 3.11 - Nomination and Election. Nominations for each office up for election shall be in writing and delivered to the Secretary before or at the February meeting of the members. Members may only hold one (1) office. The secretary shall e-mail or mail a list of the candidates to each member after the February meeting in each year. No nominations from the floor are allowed during the membership meeting for election of officers, unless the Secretary has posted no one as a nominee for the office. The member receiving the majority of votes cast for an office shall be declare elected. In the event no member receives a majority of the votes cast, the two (2) candidates with the most votes shall be voted upon a second time.

Next Meeting

•  Our next meeting will be in Le Sueur at John’s Repair (map) on Sunday May 20th at 1:00 pm. No meal will be served but the club will provide pop and bottled water. We would like to start the meeting promptly at 1:00 pm.
