Pioneer Chapter Meeting Minutes
The Bar - LeSueur MN –
17June2007
John Jones, Membership Chairman, brought the meeting to order at 2 PM. Waz
and Dale (DR) were not present. Dale did show up after the meeting started.
Treasurer’s Report –
Phil Ward
- Treasurer's Report - Phil Ward reported that all is well and that all
bills are paid up to date except those received at this meeting and the bill
for the Rally Brochure mailing. He said that all memberships should be sent
to him or John Jones.
Membership Report – John Jones
- 2007 Membership Drive is on. John Jones - 301 N Main St, Le Sueur MN
56058-4361 is our membership chairman (email). Dues are $20 again this year and you
can renew on on our
website or send a check. John reported membership was at 108 paid. We plan
on contacting all who were members in the last couple years to see if they
have renewed their membership.
Rally 2007
- The 2007 E-H Super X Rally is only 6 ˝ weeks away and is scheduled for
August 1st thru August 4th which is the week just before the Sturgis Rally.

- Rally Mailing – The Rally mailing went out on Friday 15Jun2007 so all
should be receiving it soon in the mail. It was mailed out to 1,129 people.
- Remember the deadline for Registration and Pre-Ordering Rally T-Shirts
is 07Jul2007. 2007 Rally T-Shirts must be pre-ordered, so go online at
ehridersclub.com to register or mail in your registration to Randy Schwandt.
His address is on the registration form.
- Most everything is on track related to planning for the Rally.
- Mike Hamann worked up several options for the Rally T-shirt. They were
reviewed and requested modifications were made. He will be finalizing the
designs soon. Mike did a super job as he always does. The back of the shirt
design was approved. Pocket logos and sleeve logos were also decided on.
Mike is also designing stickers and can coolers. Ken Bretz is working on the
plaques for the bike show etc. It was decided at the last meeting that we
would only have first place plaques for stock, custom, and open. We should
also have plaques for best of show, best paint, and the dyno shootout
winner. We added two plaques "Bone Stock Award" for the best bike that is
close to OEM and "Longest Ride In" - they must have ridden their bike all
the way. Waz has the Rally Bar Pins for this year.
- August 1st, Wednesday activities start at Albert Lea. Brian has blocked
some rooms at the Ramada Albert Lea, 2306 East Main Street, 507-373-6471 for
that night. Please contact them direct and mention the Pioneer Chapter to
get the $52 room rate, $58.20 with tax.
- August 2nd, Thursday Bob (Old) Gerhart will be leading the ride from
Albert Lea to Le Center. Rally Registration will take place at Le Center.
- Rooms were blocked at the Le Sueur Downtown Motel, 507-665-6246, 510
North Main St. - arrival August 2nd with departure August 5th. The last I
checked, they were booked up, but you can contact them to see if someone has
cancelled their reservation. The cost will be $42.60 for one queen bed and
$51.12 for two queen beds. These prices include the tax. Check out
ehridersclub.com or the Rally Brochure for additional places to stay.
- August 3rd - Friday - Ken Bretz is working on a northern route this year
for the Poker Run. He will have it finalized soon.
- August 4th - Saturday will be tech talks at John’s Repair, dyno runs at
John’s Repair and the Bike Show competition and swap meet at Le Center. DR
is planning to lead a couple hour ride in the area as there is usually some
open time between John’s, the Bike Show, and the E-Hog Roast Dinner.
- The same 5 meals as last year will be provided by the Pioneer Chapter.
- Waz has the Rally Bar Pins for this year.
- August 5th-6th - Sunday and Monday The Ride from Le Sueur to Sturgis. An
8:00 AM departure is planned from John’s Repair in Le Sueur on August 5th.
We will be staying in Pierre, SD that evening at the Super 8. You can
contact them direct at 605-224-1617. We will arrive at Pierre late afternoon
on the 5th and depart the morning of the 6th of August. Note that no rooms
have been blocked there. The detailed ride
schedule has been developed and is on our web site at ehridersclub.com
and will also be handed out to all who join the ride.
- Please let Chuck (aka X-TWIN) know if you plan on riding to Sturgis with
the group.
- Also, you must make your own reservations for accommodations at Pierre
and Sturgis.
Old Business
- All members can come to a meeting to pick up your E-H License Plate
Frame or you can pick it up at the Rally this year. They will not be mailed
out to members until after the Rally. If you want to purchase additional
license plate frames they are available from Waz. Contact Waz at rickwazz@comcast.net
or call him at 763-374-1011. The cost is $5 for each addition frame.
- Pioneer Chapter owned Super X Tools - Buck Bailey has the Pioneer
Chapter owned tools and they are available for use by any of our members.

- Stillwater, MN – Again, a reminder that Stillwater is enforcing noise laws and
will be checking loud pipes for baffles. The fine is over $150 for
non-compliance.
New Business
Next Meeting
- Our next meeting will be at The Bar, 130 South Main,
LeSueur MN on Sunday July 15th at 1:00 pm. We would like to start the
meeting promptly at 1:00 pm.
