Pioneer Chapter Meeting

Director Randy Schwandt brought the meeting to order.
Treasurer’s Report – Phil Ward reported that memberships are coming in and that our balance is slightly better than last year at this time.
Membership Report - John Jones reported that we currently have 51 members. Our 2009 Membership Drive is on from now until the March Meeting so if you haven’t paid membership dues for 2009, due it now. Membership can be sent to John Jones – 301 N Main St, Le Sueur MN 56058-4361 or go online to www.ehridersclub.com. You can contact John at duc88825@hotmail.com or 507-665-4062.
Old Business
Pens – Phil purchased 370 pens with E-H Riders Club and our web site address printed on them. These will be used at club events.
Flashlights – LED flashlights will be used as the member gift for 2009. They have been ordered and should be here in a couple of weeks.
2009 Rally - X Rally X July 8-11, 2009
Ideas for t-shirts and other items. If anyone has Rally logo ideas bring a description, sketch, or graphic to the February meeting (or send it to Chuck Barsness at x_twin@hotmail.com and I will get it to the next meeting). Randy Schwandt and Mike Hamann each have an idea that we are looking at.
Rally Bar Pins will be ordered hopefully this week.
Notices will be sent to magazines about the Rally by Grant Harsin and myself.
Rules for the Bike Show – John Jones and Phil Ward will develop something and bring it to the next meeting.
Doc Jones will provide a trailer to use as an office for the Rally.
Doc Jones will talk to Dale at the LeSueur Motel about having a tent there for our use.
Rally Fees have been set. Pre-registration will be $40 or registration on site will be $45. If you are a member, you will get a $5 discount. The Daily Rate will be $20.
We discussed going back to Whiskey River after the Poker Run. We also discussed entertainment. The bars will be contacted. And, we need a Point of Interest Ride for Saturday that would take about 6 hrs round trip. Let us know if you have an idea.
New Business
Officer Elections – Doc Jones was nominated for Asst Director and Phil Ward was nominated for Treasurer. Gary Thomforde made a motion to accept them and as they were the only two nominated and they held the same offices before, so no election will be needed It passed.

This will be celebrated with a Swedish Excelsior-Henderson rally, June 2009. Those who have the opportunity will arrive as early as Thursday afternoon the 4th of June at Bergby Gård at Väddöviken, web site: www.bergbygard.se. They have rooms, cabins or camping spots for rent. Do your reservation direct or to Nils latest 1st of April 2009.
Friday June 5th
We have ordered beautiful weather (although bringing raingear is recommended) and will make a joint trip on fine roads through Uppland. We will be riding the whole day and will stop for coffee and lunch at some nice places. In the evening we will gather for dinner at Bergby Gård.
Saturday June 6th
We will visit the Custom Bike Show at Norrtälje, www.custombikeshow.se, and park our Super-X’s on public view within the exhibition grounds for the people to admire. The event ends at 5 pm with a motorcade to Twin Club MC Norrtelje, where there will be food, beverages and live music in the evening.
Sunday June 7th
After a strengthening breakfast, we will break camp at Bergby Gård and ride down to Norrtälje to visit the Pythagoras Industrial Museum, www.pythagorasmuseum.se. We will have lunch together and after that say thanks and goodbye for this time.
For those who whish to stay a few more days before or after the rally, there is always the possibility to improvise some nice activities day by day.
Anniversary shirts and Pins
Can be ordered already now. There will be a black T-shirt with prints at front and back. There will also be a long sleeve, white, turtleneck with completely different prints. The prices are not yet completely fixed, but the estimate is about $25 for the T-shirt and $50 for the long sleeve.
