Pioneer Chapter Meeting

Director Randy Schwandt brought the meeting to order.
Treasurer’s Report – Phil Ward gave an update. Expenses for mailing flashlights, web site costs, and rally pins.
Membership Report - John Jones reported that we currently have 100 members. If you haven’t paid membership dues for 2009, due it now it’s still only $20. Old Business
Flashlights – LED flashlights are the member gift for 2009. Randy handed them out to the members present. They will be mailed to all other members. They really look great and will be nice to have on board for any evening riding.
2009 - X Rally X - July 8-11, 2009
Rally Logos are being finalized. It was decided to go with Randy Schwandt’s X Rally X idea on the front and Mike Hamann’s Bones and X on the back of the t-shirts and with Randy’s X Rally X for the trophies. We are finalizing what trophies will be given out this year. So far we’re planning on trophies for stock, open, custom, best paint, best in show, dyno shootout, and farthest ridden Super X.
Rally Bar Pins have arrived and were given to Randy.
Notices about the Rally - Grant Harsin checked to see if we can get the Rally announced on some radio stations. They don’t have a public events list.
Rules for the Bike Show – John Jones and Phil Ward met after the meeting to develop something and will bring it to the next meeting. City says we can not hold the Bike Show where we had it last year so we will hold it at John’s Repair.
Trailer and Tent - Doc Jones will provide a trailer to use as an office for the Rally and Phil Ward has a tent we can use if we feel we need it.
Rally Fees have been set. Pre-registration will be $40 or registration on site will be $45. If you are a member, you will get a $5 discount. The Daily Rate will be $20. T-shirts will cost $20 each or $25 on site.
Wednesday at Albert Lea and Thursday Ride to Le Sueur – Brian Berhow has been contacted and is looking forward to us being at North Star Power Sports again this year. For Thursday we are looking into making a stop at the SPAM Museum in Austin and then on to Le Sueur. Phil Ward will handle arrangements for the ride, museum tour, and lunch.
Entertainment at the Le Sueur bars was discussed. The bars have been contacted.
Friday Poker Run is being planed by Ken Bretz again. We will be at Whiskey River near after the Poker Run for dinner.
Saturday Activities - 10th Anniversary Ride – will run from 9 AM to 3 PM, lunch will be on your own. We plan to invite all former E-H employees to join us on this ride. The Dyno Shootout will be at John’s Repair starting at about 3 PM. The Swap Meet will start at 3 PM. The Bike Show will be at John’s Repair with sign up starting at 3:30 PM. Dinner will be at 5 PM.

Sweden Chapter Rally - See the next page of this Newsletter! Contact Nils Andersson at neco@algonet.se if you are interested. Nils says his black short sleeved t-shirts will cost $25 and his long sleeved white t-necks will cost $45. You can go on the www.ehridersclub.com site to see information about the Swedish “10 Years On The Road” Rally and the shirts Nils has for sale. You should send him an e-mail if you want to order any of his shirts.

Randy reported our Web Site mail went down this last month, but all has been restored and is OK now.

Pioneer Chapter Owned Super X Tools - Buck Bailey has the Pioneer Chapter owned tools and they are available for use by any of our members. Just contact him at bailey@integra.net or 952-440-9989.
