Director Randy Schwandt brought the meeting to order.

Treasurer’s Report –This month’s expenses for Rally brochure printing and last month’s expenses for three year’s worth of Rally pins has brought our balances below last year at this time, but still within the normal fluctuation.

Member ship Report- John Jones reported that we currently have 109 members. If you haven’t paid membership dues for 2009, do it now it’s still only $20.  Membership can be sent to John Jones – 301 N Main St, Le Sueur MN 56058-4361 or go online to www.ehridersclub.com. Old Business

Member Gift – Member gifts, have been packaged and labeled. They should go out via US Postal by May 22.

2009 - X Rally X - July 8-11, 2009

- Rally Mailers are at the printer and will be sent out via US Postal on or before May, 22.

- Website Rally Registration is up and running. Just go to www.ehridersclub.com and hit the Rally 2009 link.

- Poker Run – There were some questions as to eligibility for the Poker Run. Participants are eligible to win if

1.        They are registered to attend the Rally the day of the Poker Run

2.        They have paid the entry fee

3.        They ride a bike - it doesn’t matter what brand of bike they ride

- Swap Meet – is open to anyone and will be at the Downtown Motel.

- Rally Shirt design was finalized. The back will have a red & white skull & X and the front will have the X Rally X logo. The sleeve will have the Excelsior X and Rally as in previous years. The shirt will not have a pocket.

- Bike Show

- John Jones has received approval to block off the street south of Minnesota Super X for the Saturday Bike Show.

- John and Phil Ward presented the recommendations of the Bike Show committee. After discussion and voting, the following rules and procedures were adopted:

1.        Only Excelsior-Hendersons are eligible & the owner must be a registered Rally attendee for the day of the Bike Show.

2.        Categories:

a.        Stock Production Class: All OEM accessories are allowed. A non-OEM air filter with an OEM cover is allowed, and an oil cooler is allowed. The bike must have stock paint and a stock front fender. Pegs, grips, and bolts may be non-OEM.

b.        Open Class: Open Class bikes are specialty, antique, development (aka mules), and marketing bikes. Open Class bikes also include those with narrow fenders and shotgun pipes.

c.        Custom: Custom bikes have non-OEM chrome, paint, or three or more major modifications (as determined by the Bike Show committee).

3.        The Bike Show Committee will assign entrants to the above classifications.

4.        Voting for Stock, Open, and Custom will be done by Chapter Officers, Rally planning staff, and for this year interested Road Crew Reunion attendees.

5.        Voting for Best of Show will be open to all Rally attendees.

- Award Plaques will be given for Bike Show classes Open, Stock, Custom, and Best of Show. Additionally, a plaque will be awarded to the Dyno Shootout winner, and for the Longest Ride In. Recognition for second place/runners-up was discussed and tabled for the June meeting.

- Facilities - The Downtown Motel is booked. The closest alternates are the Guardian Inn at Le Center and hotels in St. Peter. Check our website for lodging contact information.

- Road Crew Reunion – Mailer – We will send a one-page letter to all the last known addresses of former EH employees. The Road Crew Reunion will be Saturday at 3 pm at Minnesota Super X in LeSueur. Amy and Randy will compose an invitation letter this week.

- Ride – The Road Crew Reunion Ride will run from 9 AM to 3 PM Saturday, lunch will be on your own.  We invite all former E-H employees to join us on this ride.  

- Sweden Chapter Rally – Randy will contact Jumper as to the accuracy of the info on the EH website.  See next page for details.

Pioneer Chapter Owned Super X Tools - Buck Bailey has the Pioneer Chapter owned tools and they are available for use by any of our members. Just contact him at bailey@integra.net or 952-440-9989.
