Pioneer Chapter Meeting at  X Rally X

Downtown Motel, Le Sueur MN –09Jul2009

 

Director Randy Schwandt brought the meeting to order.

Treasurer’s Report –Phil Ward reported that Rally expenses will be up this year because of increase in cost of dinners etc.  But, we are in good financial condition and will be able to cover the increases.

Member ship Report- John Jones reported that we currently have 121 members.  The member gift this year is the Super X flashlight.  You can contact John at duc88825@hotmail.com or 507-665-4062 if you have any questions about membership.

New Business – X Rally X  Pioneer Chapter Meeting

The officers of the Pioneer Chapter were introduced.

Rally Planning was reviewed and discussed and the planners were introduced.

Randy opened up the floor for discussion on any topic that members attending the Rally wanted to discuss.

 

Dates for the next Rally were discussed. 

 

People asked about having the Rally the week before Sturgis next year.  There are several people attending from Sweden next year and they would like to attend our Rally.  It was decided to try have a special event at Sturgis next year so the people from Sweden can meet many of the Super X owners. 

 

The Pioneer Chapter Officers have decided to plan the Rally for July 7-11^th in 2010 based at the Downtown Motel in Le Sueur.  Our experience with our Rally the last time we held it the week before Sturgis was that we lost money.

Sturgis 09 - John Strandell #625 will have a beer/pop cooler available on Tuesday the Aug 4th for members to stop in.  Nothing formal, but I will have some snacks too.  I will have a green and black Sturgis flag by the gate.  When coming from the west on Nemo Road, the turnoff is at a green gate on the south side of the road about 1 1/4 miles from 385 to 11963 Nemo Road.  Check www.ehridersclub.com for a map to John’s.

 

Pioneer Chapter Owned Super X Tools - Buck Bailey has the Pioneer Chapter owned tools and they are available for use by any of our members. Just contact him at bailey@integra.net or 952-440-9989.

Next Meeting – The next Pioneer Chapter Meeting will be held on Sunday, August 16th at 1 PM at Randy & Val Schwandt’s house at 101 8th Ave NE in Kasson MN

The Rally

 

 

Brian - NorthStar PowerSports & Marine, Albert Lea

 

 

The X Rally X activities were enjoyed by all.  We had a great time at NorthStar PowerSports & Marine in Albert Lea on Wed afternoon and evening.  Thurs included the ride to the Spam Museum and lunch in Austin and the ride to Le Sueur for Rally check in and chicken dinner.

Friday was the Poker Run followed by dinner at Whiskey River in St Peter.  Sat included the Reunion Ride and the Pork Sandwich dinner at The Bar.  Thanks to Dan Hanlon and his son for joining us on the Reunion Ride.  There were also a couple other former employees that joined the ride and several former employees that participated in the evening social times at Rally Headquarters at the Downtown Motel in Le Sueur. 

 

Thanks to all that helped plan and make X Rally X a success.  Also, a special thanks to Brian from NorthStar PowerSports & Marine and to Dale and Cindy from the Le Sueur Downtown Motel for their continued support.
